THE LEADERSHIP FOR EDUCATIONAL TRANSFORMATION
Programme was created in partnership between the Ukrainian Leadership Academy and one of the UK’s leading universities — the University of Warwick.
Aims to:
Strengthen the capacity of educational leaders to transform and rebuild the education system during the war and after it ends.
Build a community of educational innovators capable of improving Ukrainian education at all levels — from the classroom to national policy.
From early 2025, the programme is delivered in partnership by three educational institutions: the Ukrainian Leadership Academy, the University of Warwick, and the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The programme covers key concepts of change management and modern educational approaches, applied across three levels of transformation:
MACRO LEVEL — policy development, strategic management, regulatory frameworks, and national-level reform.
MESO LEVEL — management, development, and leadership at the level of a school or educational institution.
MICRO LEVEL — pedagogical practices, teaching, and learning in the classroom.

2023-2024
The launch of the pilot programme “Leadership for Educational Transformation” in 2023 was a response to the challenges faced by leadership teams in Ukrainian education during the full-scale invasion. The programme was based on the “Vision for Education and Science of Ukraine” formulated by the Ministry of Education and Science, the third key partner in this initiative.
More than 50 educational leaders from various institutions, educational levels, and ownership forms participated, united by a shared aspiration to build a new quality education system.
